Use the Ipconfig /All Command
Step Action
1 Open a Windows Command Prompt.
Refer to Procedure 28-3 Launch Windows Command Prompt (Windows XP)

Procedure 28-4 Launch the Windows Command Prompt (Windows 7).

config /all in the Command Prompt window followed by the [Enter] key.
The configuration settings for all of y
our connections will display (Figure 28-14).

3 Verify the IP address(es) assigned tot he Client PC’s Local Area Connection are correct
(matches what you assigned, if you have assigned a static IP address).
4 If any of
the Default Gateway, DHCP Server, or DNS Server addresses are 0.0.0.0, it is
likely that your Client PC is not communicating with the network correctly. Contact your
network administrator for more information.
