IP Address Allocation
Note
To open the NVR Administration Interface the IP address of one of the NICs must
be known, if all the IP addresses are dynamic they will vary in value. It is
recommended that a NIC is configured with a static IP address and subnet mask
for this reason.
LAN IP address
Subnet Mask
Note
The Subnet Mask is defined by three classes of IP Address A, B and C which will
determine its value. They are as follows:
Class A - First Octet Decimal Range 1-126, Subnet Mask Value 255.0.0.0
Cla
ss B - First Octet Decimal Range 128-191, Subnet Mask Value 255.255.0.0
Cla
ss C - First Octet Decimal Range 192-223, Subnet Mask Value
255.255.255.0
Class A addresses 127.0.0.0 to 12
7.255.255.255 cannot be used and are reserved for
loopback and diagnostic functions.

DHCP Server Page (Optional)
The DHCP Server page is used to edit the DHCP server settings for each NIC including the DHCP
status, start range, end range, subnet and netmask. Each NIC can be used to host a DHCP server
for the LAN it is attached to.
If a NIC has been designated a Dy
namic IP address it will not be available for editing on this page.
The DHCP Status page allows you to view all a
ctive devices which have been assigned a dynamic
IP address by the NVR.
