Launching the Windows Command Prompt
To use the troubleshooting commands, we will need the Windows command prompt. To launch the
command prompt, perform the following steps.

Launch Windows Command Prompt (Windows XP)
Step Action
1 Click Start, then Run in the Windows taskbar.
2 Type cmd
in the field provided, then click OK.
