1 Power OFF the NVR and install the Fiber HBA Kit (PCI-e). Connect the AD Fiber RAID
Storage to the NVR.
2 Reb
oot the NVR and log in to the NVR desktop as the Root User.
3 Select
Computer.
4 Select
YaST from the System menu.
The Control Center opens.
5 Select
Partitioner.
A warning message opens.
6 Click
Yes.
The Expert Partitioner window opens.
7 Exp
and the Hard Disks menu.
8 Rig
ht-click the new storage device from the list of hard disks, then click Edit.

Click Add.
The Add Partition window opens.
10 Set th
e new partition size. You can select Maximum Size, Custom Size and enter a
value, or select Custom Region where you can choose the disk cylinders for the partition.
Note
In order to use a disk partition for storage it must meet the minimum storage
capacity requirements, 10GB.
11 Click Next.
12 Ensure the Format p
artition option button is selected. Select XFS from the File system
dropdown menu.

ct the Mount Partition option button.
14 Enter the Mou
nt Point for the disk.
15 Sele
ct the Fstab Options... button.
16 Sele
ct the Volume Label option button.
17 Enter a Vo
lume Label in the field.
18 Enter nof
ail,rw,noatime,nodiratime,attr2,nobarrier,noquota,allocsize=4m,inode64 in
the Arbitrary option
value field.
Note
nobarrier should only be used on storage devices connected to disk controllers
with battery backed cache.
